" Dad?" I whispered.
The trees swayed hard and something behind them let out a breath. It sounded like a sigh to me. The scent of the breath was so naturally sweet that i could swear it wasn't human. I squinted my eyes to get a clearer look but a loud piercing scream diverted my attention. It was just second when i looked back into the trees and sensed no one there anymore. I sighed and ran back to school to find the cause of the scream.
As I ran towards the front of the field, i hit something hard and fell to the ground. My head spun when i tried to look up and when i managed to stand up, he was what i saw.
Standing in front of me was a man, no older than mid-twenties, with skin as pale as moonlight. His presence made me felt conscious of my appearance. He looked as if he had just walked out from a fairy tale. His black hair was messy and he was dressed in a very big buttoned shirt and a pair of bermudas which would look odd on others.
On the contrary, what caught my sight was his red eyes.
"Don't go back to school. It's dangerous now." He spoke quietly.
And definitely his scent.
I stood there like an idiot not knowing what to do. In any case, i had just obeyed a stranger's command. My heart raced again when he moved so fast towards me. He held his hand up to brush my hair away from my face and his forehead creased. Beneath that perfect face displayed thousands of emotions.
To be continued...
